Cathy and Woody reached out to me a couple of weeks ago before Deer Trail Days in Deer Creek, MN. They were building a beautiful bar made out of an old boat and creating an outdoor patio space for summer parties. The wall was just white and their vision was to have a mural to create a backdrop for the patio. I spent the next day creating a boating scene design and brought them a few options the next day. They chose the design they preferred and I immediately began working on the mural the next morning, purchasing paint colors, supplies and got started on prepping the wall and priming it. This was on Monday and Deer Trail Days was Friday and Saturday of that week. The goal was to get the mural finished by Friday afternoon.
The heat that week was quite a challenge and I was getting up early to beat the afternoon sun. Britne Anderson and Triston Westman assisted me in painting and I could not have completed this mural in 5 days without them.
I have more to add and will update this post with some final images soon... I am thrilled to be sharing more of my mural work in this region.
